Joshua Wells, managing partner for the Bonefish Grill in Egg Harbor Township, presents Pat Scannell and Bob Fudala with a certificate worth $800 for a dinner party - one of the most significant prizes for the Gunny Chuck Baldwin Memorial Golf Outing.

Marine Corps League Detachment 194 will hold its biggest fundraising event of the year 1 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 26 at the Mays Landing Golf and Country Club.

The person making the first hole in one on the selected par 3 hole will win a new 2013 Chevy Cruze, courtesy of Bennett Chevrolet in Egg Harbor Township.

The league also put out challenges to all police, fire and emergency departments to play for a trophy and bragging rights.

The Ocean City Police Department has thrown down the gauntlet. They are sponsoring two foursomes and one golf hole for a total of $1,000 going toward the event.

The Marine Corps League sponsors the local Toys for Tots program.

It ran out of toys last year and members are working hard to make sure they have things covered for this year’s Toys for Tots Christmas campaign.

For information on playing, sponsoring or donating tournament prizes, call Pat Scannell at (609) 442-6458.
