OCEAN CITY — The Walk for the Wounded souvenir T-shirts, which served as an opportunity for Operation First Response to raise money for wounded soldiers and their families, now have a chance to help the dedicated members of the military.

Ocean City Home Bank has donated the extra Walk for the Wounded shirts to the American Legion Morvay-Miley Post 524’s T-shirt drive for troops serving overseas.

“Donating the extra Walk for the Wounded T-shirts to the American Legion was an easy decision.  It’s a chance to help a great organization that works tirelessly on behalf of our nation’s heroes,” said Steven Brady, president and chief executive officer of Ocean City Home Bank. “It’s also a chance to send our soldiers unique messages of support.  Whenever they see the Walk for the Wounded logo on the shirts, we hope they’ll be reminded of the individuals and organizations that come together each year in their honor.”

In addition to T-shirt donations, the American Legion sends care packages each month to troops serving overseas. Those who would like to help the organization purchase items for care packages can send a financial contribution to American Legion, Morvay-Miley Post 524, P.O. Box 363, Ocean City, NJ 08226.
