The nonprofit organization, which helps mothers have full-term pregnancies and researches the problems that threaten the health of babies, honored the bank for its recent fundraising efforts at the March of Dimes Awards Dinner on June 20.

Sue Jones, a member of the bank’s accounting department, organized an Ocean City Home Bank team to participate in the March of Dimes 2012 March for Babies at the South Jersey Shore. The bank exceeded its fundraising goal of $3,000, raising a total of $3,015.12 through March for Babies sponsorships, as well as a used cell phone drive and the sale of March of Dimes donations cards to bank customers and staff members throughout the month of March.

“Thanks to Sue’s leadership, the Ocean City Home Bank team placed second in the region for March of Dimes fundraising this year,” said Steven E. Brady, president and chief executive officer of Ocean City Home Bank.  “The team’s dedication to this very worthy cause serves as a great example of our bank’s commitment to the community.  We thank them and everyone who supported them as they worked to improve the health of mothers and babies.”
