Know before you go: Consent agenda looking ‘green’ for July 12 council meeting

OCEAN CITY — City Council will meet 7 p.m. July 12 in City Hall. The agenda includes no ordinances, and 14 resolutions as part of the consent agenda.
Of those resolutions are three bid advertisements for city contracts: collection and disposal of recycling materials, collection and disposal of recycling waste containers and acquisition of a front end loader. There is also a resolution to reject the bids for the boardwalk reconstruction at Fifth and Sixth streets and to re-advertise.
City Council will consider a resolution authorizing the city to apply to the Sustainable Jersey 2012 small grants program, as well as a resolution endorsing the county’s proposed switch to single stream recycling.
