Mays Landing woman wins August art show

Lidia Crompton of Mays Landing won first place in the Ocean City Fine Arts League’s August show, “Hot, Hazy and Humid,” with her pastel drawing, “Old Railroad Pilings.”
The artwork is on display at the Art on Asbury Gallery, 608 Asbury Ave., along with paintings, photography and drawings, all created by local artists, through the end of August.
Second place went to Mary Ann Kline of Egg Harbor Township for her oil painting, “9th Street Morning.”
Honorable mentions went to Marilyn Brent of Linwood with the oil painting, “Hazy At Water's Edge” and Ann Coretti of Somerdale for her photograph, “Surf's Up.”
