GALLOWAY – A 1993 Ford F150 pickup truck struck an ambulance Wednesday, Oct. 10 at the White Horse Pike and S. Genoa Avenue.

The driver of the truck was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center with leg injuries. The ambulance driver was unhurt, and the patient in the ambulance was taken to the hospital with no additional injuries, police said.

John Morgan of Devonshire, Mullica Township, was driving west on the White Horse Pike when he struck a Hamilton Township ambulance driven by Susan Wellington of Mays Landing at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday.

The ambulance was crossing the White Horse Pike headed north on Genoa with the emergency lights activated and the siren audible, according to police.
The F150 struck the passenger-side of the ambulance.

Morgan was issued a summons for allegedly failing to yield to an emergency vehicle.
