Police want help identifying armed robbery suspect

EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP – Police here are searching for the public’s help in finding a suspect wanted in connection with an armed robbery at the Burger King on Tilton Road on Tuesday, Sept. 25.
At approximately 11:58, an unknown assailant, reportedly brandishing a handgun, approached the restaurant manager and two employees in the parking lot of the fast food restaurant, located at 6813 Tilton Road, and demanded the restaurant’s cash proceeds for the evening, police said.
The suspect was described as a dark complexioned male in his 20’s. He was reportedly wearing a black sweatshirt or “hoodie” that was pulled up over top of a baseball style cap for concealment. He fled with an undisclosed amount of cash on foot down Hingston Avenue toward the area of Fire Road.
The case is being investigated by Detectives Mark Wagner and Heather Stumpf.
