EHT man arraigned for alleged sexual assault on minor

EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP - Steven Chalakee, 25, of Egg Harbor Township was arraigned Sept. 25 in Egg Harbor Township Municipal Court on criminal complaints of 2nd degree sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child.
The complaints were issued by township Detective Patricia DiMarco, who along with Detective Mark Wagner, investigated the claims against Chalakee.
Chalakee has subsequently been accused of allegedly assaulting a female victim, under the age of 13, on various dates, over a period of time.
Chalakee is currently lodged in the Southern State Correctional Facility on unrelated charges.
Bail was set at $150,000.00 by Superior Court Judge Kyran Connor.
