RIO GRANDE -- Eight Cape May County hairstylist followed 20-year hairstylist Regina Baker to her new "Symmetry Hair Salon" at 3130 Route 9 South, according to the salon owners.

Amanda Bryan, Kaitlyn Bryan, Samantha Boyle, Kay Cee Ferguson, Christin Gregg, Donna Riedel, Michele Shaw and Donna Moffit have joined the new shop.

“Their dedication to me as a friend and their willingness to follow me because of what they believed I could do for them really meant a lot to me,” Baker said.

After months of planning and discussing ideas for the Salon with her brother Mike Schultz and his wife Heather, Baker and the Schultz's decided that opening Symmetry would be possible. Despite reluctance from her brother, she convinced him that if they decided to open a new salon, the stylists would follow her.

"I'm amazed at how much of a tight knit group of girls this is and how much they all believe in one another. It isn't easy to just pack up and leave your current job situation for a new endeavor when you aren't sure how successful that you will be, but they did it," said Schultz.

The new salon opened before Memorial Day weekend. A grand opening party is planned Saturday June 16, which will feature complimentary food and beverage for all customers that day as well as drawings for prizes including a new Kindle and hair products.
