Lois and Ralph Werner of Ocean City at Mount Rushmore, South Dakota.
This was part of a two week, 4,300-mile trip on a Harley Davidson
with a sidecar.
Wild hogs of Jersey
Pictured here in front of the Crazy Horse Memorial in South Dakota
are Marty and Debra Peary of Northfield and Rich and Diane Jankowski
of Egg Harbor City, who rode 1,850 miles one way from New Jersey to
Sturgis, S.D. for the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in August. The four
then rode back home through Gaitlinburg, Tenn., to complete a
“perfect” trip filled with amazing sights and scenery.
Jack and Dolores Dollarton of Sea Isle City took the Gazette to Mt.
Rushmore, Canadian Rockies, Calgary Stampede and Athabasca Glacier.
Clever, but
corny
In November,
Bob Fenton, Hal Howell, Pete Bacon and Jack Hermann, all of Galloway
Township, went to Mitchell, S.D., to do some pheasant hunting. They
are pictured here with The Current in front of Mitchell’s Corn
Palace, an agricultural showcase that is said to be the world’s only
corn palace. The building, actually made from reinforced concrete,
is completely covered each spring with thousands of bushels of
native South Dakota corn, grains and grasses that are arranged into
large murals.
