This trip was a homerun Tom and Karen Roesch of Galloway Township stopped with their children Drew and Rebecca in Dyersville, Iowa, home of the original “Field of Dreams” movie site, where they played a little baseball on the field used in the 1989 classic film. It was the end of a summer vacation trip that also included stops in Detroit, Mich.; South Bend, Ind.; Chicago, Ill.; Milwaukee, Wis., and Minneapolis, Minn. Highlights included Notre Dame University, the College Football Hall of Fame, the Minnesota State Fair, the Mall of America, friends in Minneapolis and baseball games at Wrigley Field (Phillies v. Cubs), U.S. Cellular Field, Miller Park and the Metrodome. The Roesch family has been to 23 Major League ballparks. |
