A ‘paperless’ vacation
Some great friends traveled to Punta Cana, Dominican
Republic for their spring break vacation during the week of
March 16. They enjoyed the beach, pool, dining, nightly
shows, discos, and most of all, having no papers to write.

Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic, where they had fun in
the sun celebrating the 29th anniversary of Nancy's 21st
birthday.

A group of friends from Cape May County on vacation in the
Dominican Republic. The Middle Township Gazette was carried
along with us on a sailboat and snorkeling excursion off an
island in Punta Cana. All had a marvelous time. In the back

Upper Township teacher Michelle Greenling took the Gazette
on a mission trip earlier this year to Haiti. Michelle
Greenling. Students from Greenling’s Upper Township
Elementary School class made shirts for the children in
Haiti which she brought on her trip.
Donna and Jack Burke, Egg Harbor Township, Joanne and Mike
Woliki, Marmora, Kim and Dennis Pritchett, Dennis Township,
Tim Taccarino, Somers Point, Patty Cates, Seaville, and Sue
and Mike Cefaretti, Egg Harbor Township, took the Gazette
along to Dreams Punta Cana, Dominican Republic in February.
They spent a fun filled week celebrating Tim's birthday.
Dave and Belle Richart, of North Wildwood, went to Punta
Cana with their friends, Al and Diane. The Wildwood Leader
also went with them.
St. Peter's Church, over spring break, brought the
Gazette along for members’ mission trip to the Dominican
Republic.

Enjoying that island flavor
George and Leslie Jurco of Egg Harbor Township took a
vacation – and The Current – to Punta Cana in the Dominican
Republic. Here they are at the Wasabi Japanese Restaurant at
The Ocean Bavaro Resort.

Link all of Townbank had a great week at the Sunscape resort
in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. The travelers returned
home just as Tropical Storm Noel was making landfall.
Taking a holiday
Bill, Diane and Zach Narkiewicz went to
the Dominican Republic for vacation the first week in April
and stayed at the Coral Canoa. While it was cold and snowing
back home, they were basking in beautiful 85-degree weather.

Karen and Megan Fitzpatrick
(mother and daughter) traveled with the Gazette to Punta
Cana, Dominican Republic on April 13 to celebrate Megan's
belated 21st birthday. They also shared the Gazette with
many people from other countries.

A team of 12 from the Second
Cape May Baptist Church of Palermo traveled with the Gazette
to Port-A-Piment, Haiti the first week of March to help
paint and minister to their sister church there. Team
members included John Peterson, Pastor Jim Bry, Gerard and
Mike Tolson, Kendra Schmidt, Ashley Bry, Ashley DuBruille,
Cindy Swenk, Elaine Winder, Ellie Beebe, Bill Fosbenner and
Lynn Greenling. Also pictured are three of the missionaries
who facilitate the sister church relationship.
Anniversary by the sea
Steven and Joy Barile celebrated their second
anniversary in Puerto Plata of the Dominican Republic Jan. 16 in
front of the Neptune statue at sea.

Punta Cana
Tom and Pat McElroy, of North Wildwood, in Punta Cana, Dominican
Republic, during the freeze in New Jersey from Feb. 11-22. Fine, rub
it in!
The Gazette went
to the fifth annual winter outing from
La Costa and the Lobster Loft in Sea Isle. The trip started on Feb. 22 and
lasted until March 2 where participants went to Punta Cana,
Dominican Republic. The group said they can’t wait to take the paper
to next year’s winter outing. For details, call Discovery Travel

Joe and Janice Fitzgerald, of Collingswood, traveled to Puerto
Plata, Dominican Republic. Joe is the nephew of life-long residents
John and Vee Stanbach, of the Wildwoods.

Exploring the Dominican Republic on horseback
Martina and Gary Villarson with son Marcus Hughes of Egg Harbor
Township show off The Current while on a horseback ride along
Encuentro Beach, the Dominican Republic. Their June vacation took
them to the City of Cabarete, Bacardi Island (reached by speed boat
near the city of Samana), and to underground caverns lagoons and
called Los Tres Ojos in Santo Domingo. They watched dolphin and
shark swims, visited a bird sanctuary, and snorkeled at Ocean World,
near the city of Puerto Plata.
